We favour genetic diversity. Our initial genetic background comes from several Quebec beekeepers (John Forest, Yves Castera, Léo Buteau, Anicet Desrochers, Marie-Ève Cyr, Félix Lapierre, Robert Gaudreau, Michel Lauzon and Maggie Lamothe Boudreau) and from more distant strains such as Saskatraz and Primorsky from Bâton-Rouge.In 2022, we integrated CRSAD queens into our flock.Breeds present in the flock: Apis mellifera mellifera, Apis mellifera ligustica and Apis mellifera carnica.All our colonies overwinter outdoors, individually, without grouping.
