It all began in 2015, in Prévost, in the Basses-Laurentides, when some neighbours moved. They owned three beautiful beehives. Already interested in insects and the environment, we offered ourselves as beekeepers (like our company name, Miel de la Garde, “Garde” means “keeping”).
And so began a great love affair with bees!
Miel de la Garde now operates around 350 hives in the Rivière-du-Nord valley. This enables us to certify our honey as organic (certified by Québec Vrai). Over time, we have become queen bee breeders. We work to develop hardy, disease-resistant, productive and propolis-forming lines.
Miel de la Garde offers some twenty products from the hive. From organic honey to propolis-based body care products, we offer you an immersion in the hive through our high-quality products.
Miel de la Garde also offers beekeeping training courses for individuals, schools, CEGEPs and municipalities.
